What happens to grant money when you drop below half time status?
I am thinking about dropping one of my two courses and have already received a grant for this semester. If I do drop it, will I have to return the funds?

as long as you are still charged for the 2 courses you get to keep the aid for the 2 courses. If they give you financial credit for the course you dropped, then your grant will most likely be reduced as well.
Contact your financial aid office to find out for sure. Each school has different dates by which a student must withdraw in order to receive financial credit. Also, you need to ask them if dropping the class this semester will effect your eligibility to receive aid next semester or next year.
