I am planning on going to Berkley in California and am wondering if the state of California provides student aid and if the students of Berkley are legible?

What are the requirements? Amount, etc…

Hello there,

I want to go to school after I immigrate to the States but I am concerned about the 5 years to become a citizen… Because you need to become a citizen to pay NORMAL school fees right? If not, I would be an international student, meaning that I have to pay expensive fees, and won’t be able to apply for student aid (FAFSA)… Right?
Please guide me, thank you!

I live in CA.
i may have passed the deadline for FAFSA, but has anyone out there made it paying through community college without FAFSA-related student aid?( i hear without a FAFSA, almost no one will give you student financial aid ), are there other types of financial aid besides one that needs FAFSA eligibility? ( i know getting a job is one of them.)

I know I have to fill out the FAFSA but I want to take online classes, do I have to go into the college that I will be attending before I apply for student aid? Or do I just go ahead & fill out the FAFSA first? Can I just call the college or sign up online? I have 2 babies at home, so getting out to teh college is going to be hard for me. It’d be cool if someone could just explain the steps to me. Thanks.

I plan on going back to school for a second bachelors this fall and possible professional school after that. I get just enough financial aid right now to cover all my tuition costs. Next fall though I have plans to get married. Will that reduce my student aid since my wife would be expected to assist in paying my tuition (which would not be the case)?
