My parents are getting a divorce. I am going to be a freshman in college next year. I’ve already gotten my financial aid for this year, so that shouldn’t change (right?) but I wasn’t sure if this would affect my financial aid for the next years. My parent’s income should stay roughly the same, albeit seperate.
I am a U.S. citizen but my parents are not. I live only with my mom and the only way i would be able to pay for college is through financial aid. HOw can i apply if my parents dont have social security numbers. I really want to attend college next year with my friends but i will not be able without financial aid. Please help!!!
My parents are encouraging me to go somewhere very close to our house, but i have my heart set on going somewhere else. They are trying to sell me the idea that i may never pay off my college loans.
Hi, I’m a junior in high school and am constantly thinking about college. I really want to end up in New York somehow, but I live in Florida right now. If I did get into a school there, I would have to get financial aid and scholarships because my parents just can’t afford that much.
Anyone have any great advice?
So im 17 years old and my whole life ive wanted to go to a good college… After all the years of making my self do well in school i just applied last month. Now my parents are talking about how ungratefull i am and that i dont deserve anything and that i cant go to school unless they pay for it??? Is this true??? is there any sort of student loans that i can get without them???
She is from Pakistan, and wants to go to college here in the US. All the internet sites I know just list hundreds of potential grants/scholarships, but then she doesn’t qualify because her parents don’t work for Edison or Frito Lay, or something like that. Is there a source that has money available to exchange students? She is a straight A student. The high school guidance office has no clue. Thanks.
I really want to go on an exchange trip to Mexico to learn about the culture. The school takes us to a really nice piece of Mexico and we stay with a family there and learn more about the language, people, and customs. My parents seem to think that it won’t make much of a difference on my college application and it’s a lot of money. I’m having a hard time finding proof for them. Please help me
My parents took my pell grant check to pay the mortgage, but they haven’t yet and they refuse to give it to me to pay for school. With my job I can now afford to pay for school, but I can’t trust my parents anymore so i’ve decided to move out but need the extra money, if i withdraw it from the account that i know it is in can they get me in any kind of trouble?
I will be going to a university next year. Right at this moment, I am in the middle of financial aid. I can’t figure out how French income works. What I got from my parents is a paper saying "Avis D’ impot sur le Revenue" If anybody knows anything about it that would help me. Thank You!
