I am currently a student at a University, and would like to switch to a community college. (If you haven’t gone to college yet, community colleges save you SO much money). Anyways, I do not know how to get my Financial Aid Re-Configured so that it will go to the other school.
Please help if you can! Thanks!
Im 21 I live by myself. I don’t receive any money or help from my parents. But they still consider me a dependent and because of this I can’t get any financial help for college. My parents make too much money. I don’t understand this. Is there anything I can do? Please help!
Why should my parents be expected to pay for my college. I am a single working adult living on my own supporting myself 100%.
When I graduated high school my mom had college laid out on a red carpet but I pissed away the opportunity. I’m now 20 and I want to rectify my mistakes and go to college and stop goofing off. There’s a community college near my home that costs about ,400 a year. I planned on applying for financial aid but my mom says I don’t qualify because she makes too much money. Her yearly salary is about 50k. Is this true?
I’m not even trying to be offensive. The only people I know who ever qualified for financial aid came from single family homes in which the parent was on disability or welfare. I am certainly not rich (or able to pay for college out of my pocket), but my husband and I are both gainfully employed. I’ve known many many people who were struggling financially, living in modest homes, etc. and they did not get one penny of financial aid because the government said they made too much money. What the heck.
Are my chances for financial aid almost zero?
I am planning to go to school next year but I’m afraid I will not be able to afford it.
The schoold does except finacial aid but I make too much money to qualify. The shcool costs ,000 upfront to attend! I don’t have that kind of money!
So it looks as though I will have to sell my car( get a cheaper one), quit my job and get a part time one just to have enough time and money ( with financial aid) to do to school!
What about student loans? how does that work? Do you have to pay while your are in school? Do you have to have good credit to get one?
Any suggestions?
I am limited in opportunities because I supposedly "make too much money" and my academics is not a rock solid 4.0 GPA. However, I need all the suggestions, advice, and guidance you can possibly give me. Finances are very tight, and I want to complete my B.S. and then proceed to professional studies hoping to get accepted into law school and business school (J.D./M.B.A.). I reside in the State of Florida and presently attending the University of Florida. Please help me with this. Thank you in advance.
Everywhere I look I’m being charged just to get a list of these grants. I’ve call my state directory, and they can’t give me any info either? Where should I go? No wonder there is so much money left over, its almost impossible finding these grants. I just dont want to pay for a list of outdated and expired grants over the internet.
Im a senior and my parents are self employeed only my father works. My parents have never been to college. I dont think I will qualify for financial aid its not that my parents make to much money its just that the net gross is different than everyone elses. I need a way to help pay for college I really dont want to take out loans. What can I do. Are there any scholarships out there for me?
I’m aware of www.fastweb.com but I was wondering if anyone knew of other places to look for legitimate grants and/or scholarships. I’m doing a practical nursing program at a technical school. I don’t qualify for the Pell grant because I have a bachelors degree from another field (merchandising & business) so I’m on the hunt for tuition money…any suggestions?
I hear a lot of people say "there is so much money available to health care students" but I am having trouble finding it!
