When I file my FAFSA, do the people check how much money I have in the bank account before approving my Federal grants/loans? What about the college financial aid office? Do they check before deciding how much money to give you?
My parents say that I shouldn’t have more than 0 in my bank account at any one point. But I want to open a savings account because I really need to control my splurging.

I am thinking about applying for financial aid for college. I go to community college right now and for me its about .10 per credit for students who are instate. Do you recommend Applying for it or will it just put me in debt for the rest of my life by paying back loans.
I want to attend University of ALabama, Birmingham and the yearly cost (as of now) is about ,000. My family is (so to speak) poor. I see that there are many scholarships and grants out there that i can get, but, will they ever add up to about 000 for four years?????? Please help. NO LOANS AT ALL!

We are first time homebuyers in California (east bay area) and we just had our offer accepted on a "light fixer"…I am wondering if there are programs that offer financial assistance (grants or otherwise) to help with rehabbing a property.

I need help finding legitimate grants/scholarships for college can someone help?
I have tried going to Google and looking and the only thing i come up with are pages wanting you to join schools etc. I am getting a Bachelor’s Degree at an online college. I am looking for grants to help fund my remaining college degree instead of just taking out loans. Can anyone help, all the grants and scholarship websites i keep pulling up are fake and are just trying to get you to sign up for all kinds of different things. Can anyone help me find legitimate college grants pages so i can apply?

Well, when you get financial aid/scholarships for undergraduate college you don’t pay the full price right? i.e. supposing a 30 thousand dollar school offered you a 20 thousand dollar scholarship, you would only pay them 10 thousand dollars.
But from what i’ve read about law school, financial aid comes in loans, so instead of actually paying less you just pay later. Is that the only option? Any kind of info would be helpful, thank you.
I woud like to know if there is an online university that offers various masters programs? Also, it should be covered by financial aid (grants, etc) and has the option of getting students loans if needed?
