I want to get in to college and well my parents don’t like giving information about their income tax out just like that i keep telling them its for the federal student aid service and they still refuse and so I thought what if I was living out on my own and could I do my federal student aid with my info? I mean do I have to have my parents info NO MATTER WHAT?
Ok, so I have to apply for Financial Aid soon, but here’s the thing. My step-father isn’t paying anything at all for my college education, only my mom is. However, their income tax is filed together, so he makes a lot of money and my mom very little. I don’t know what to do, because I won’t get much financial help if my step-father’s tax reports are in there. Will I get financial aid?
He or she is a citizen but their parents are illegal so they can give any income tax, how can they receive financial aid?
