I’m a freshman in high school, and I desperately want some good websites where I can register for qualified scholarships or grants. The scholarship doesn’t necessarily have to be a study abroad one. Where can I find a website that has qualified scholarships or grants that can help me study in my own country and doesn’t require me to go aboard?
I’m a freshman in HS and wondering what I can do that looks good on a college application. I don’t like sports, and I have no interest in any school clubs. Thanks.
In other words, do the scholarships allow you to apply as a freshman but not use it until college? I would hate to wait til last minute.
Do you have a better chance of getting into a good college for businees (as I am planning to do) if you have Spanish Honor Society on your list. Some other things I am planning to receive and put on my application are National Honor Society, Key Club (volunteer work), Student Council, and Eagle Scout.
Sorry Spanish Honor Society is basically that in 7 semesters (Freshman through half of Senior year) you got at least 4 A’s and 3 B’s.
My parents are getting a divorce. I am going to be a freshman in college next year. I’ve already gotten my financial aid for this year, so that shouldn’t change (right?) but I wasn’t sure if this would affect my financial aid for the next years. My parent’s income should stay roughly the same, albeit seperate.
I am starting as a freshman in college this fall, and I’m trying to find a scholarships or a grant to help pay for it, and i herd of there being grants for having a parent who has passed away. my dad is dead, he died when i was 14 years old, but the catch is that i never met him. but since i found out he had passed(2008) i have met my siblings and is about to move in with one. if you know anything please let me know. I’m desperate
I go to UC Davis and I am a freshman living in the dorms. Next year however I will have to move out and live off campus in an apartment. My financial aid paid for everything this year and probably will next year too since my family’s contribution is 0 on the fafsa. I am just wondering how living off campus will affect my disbursements (if I will recieve more or less). Thank you!

Well, I’m applying to NYU, and they said they grant credit for college classes if the grade is ‘B’ or better, and I’ve taken college classes, but I got 3 Cs and a B (the B is in a class that they probably won’t grant credit for anyway). Should I even bother sending it? I already sent my application stating that I did go so X college. Applying as a freshman, not transfer.
I am attending CSU-Fresno at a freshman and received my financial aid for 0. How much did you guys get for financial aid? I was expecting more. Oh well. Free money is free money. By the way, I work part time 20 hrs a week, am going to live with my parents, they make about 20-25k~ a year, didn’t apply for FAFSA early, and I am the only one in the family attending college at the moment.
