I am a student in texas whose kinda having it hard. I want to see if I can get financial aid but my mother never wants to fill out the papers because she thinks its useless. She makes 90k and my father makes around 50k. The problem is they suck, are divorced and have huge debt. Is their any way for me to get financial aid?
I just got accepted to a graduate program (tuition remission). I did my FAFSA and I put down I made 12,084 in 2009. How much financial aid would I receive during my first year? By the way, I get tuition remission and teacher assistantship.
Single minority 31yo mom, dreaming of becoming a Pediatrician. Currently working as a Cert.Med.Asst for 10yrs, wanting to research for possible Grants/Scholarships that I may qualify for. Any suggestions on how to start searching, what classes should I try to start taking, money is very limited so hoping for financial help.
I’ve checked fastweb.com and various other "financial-aid search" websites but they all seem to be dead ends. I filled out my FAFSA form but I was only able to qualify for student loans this time around(I figured this is because I have already attended college for 4 years and graduated this past May in another discipline). I am student at Devry university and plan on transferring to Prince George’s community college next fall. I am using financial aid. Will I have to pay back financial aid for Devry before i can apply for financial aid at PG or can I just pay it back all at once when I finish school?

My step-daughter received a Pell Grant for secondary education. She has had several trips to the salon and mall using her Pell Grant money to pay for this. Is this legal and are there any articles or rules that I can print and show her that this isn’t what this grant is to be used for? I’m under the impression the Pell Grants are for tuition, books and supplies. Can someone help me with this?
