I was attending college fall of 04. I started having alot of problems with my son and his mom at daycare. I stopped going and was not smart enough to withdrawl so i got all F’s. I’ts been 4 years now and i’m totally focused(have my situation under control now)and i want to go back to school. There is really no way i can go back without the financial aid/student loan. What are my chances of returning and getting financial help

i was going to school online. i cant afford it anymore, i cant buy my books. i really need help, and i need to know if anyone out there can help me or give me an idea where i can get financial help for school. 
Im 21 I live by myself. I don’t receive any money or help from my parents. But they still consider me a dependent and because of this I can’t get any financial help for college. My parents make too much money. I don’t understand this. Is there anything I can do? Please help!
Why should my parents be expected to pay for my college. I am a single working adult living on my own supporting myself 100%.

I have a score of 1500 in GRE test. I wish to join an Ivy League college.
I am not sure of admission to an Ivy League college with financial aid. However, I sense that the score and other credentials may get me the admission.
Is this belief correct ?
Or it does not matter whether you ask for financial help or not ; the admission to college is unrelated.
I could need some financial help so I thought about free government grants. I am not sure about all the scam floating around so if anybody knows a good resource I would be highly thankful.

Ok, so I have to apply for Financial Aid soon, but here’s the thing. My step-father isn’t paying anything at all for my college education, only my mom is. However, their income tax is filed together, so he makes a lot of money and my mom very little. I don’t know what to do, because I won’t get much financial help if my step-father’s tax reports are in there. Will I get financial aid?
I am so weary of paying websites to give me a list of scholarships for single moms. I do not want scholarships/ grants to become a teacher, I am not hispanic, black, beaten or homeless. I am just a single mom needing some financial help to go to college. HELP!!!
