I’ve heard that if i have an active bank account when applying for financial aid for college i may be limited on the amount of aid i get or denied all-together. Just wondering what i needed to know. And please provide valid sources, as this is an important matter.

i was in my roommates care when we got stopped by security and caught with possession. security called the police and we each got UPM tickets. i have done some research and found that i’m not going to have to pay more then a 0 fine. am i looking at anything else? this is mine and his first offense. should i worry about loosing my financial aid for college?
A relative wants to put life insurance benefits from a deceased family member in my kids’ names. I’m worried that whatever amount it might be, it will interfere with their ability to receive financial aid for college later, which they certainly will need. Should I ask him to put it in my husbands’ and my names?
im on financial aid for college, and im on 14 credit hours 12 hours is fulltime. i decided to withdrawl from my biology class. just becuz i took my 3rd exam and knew that i did awful and it would ruin my chance of a good gpa. so i didnt plan on dropping until the last minute. so i went from fulltime to 3/4 time. i thought that i would only have to pay for the class that i dropped but they sent me a bill today for 1000$ i dropped two days ago(15th) and on monday im going to call the financial aid office. but whats going to happen? whats going to happen will i have to pay for all my classes or just for the one that i dropped?
If a 20 yr. old college student is already receiving financial aid for college tuition, but is now going to be living on their own due to abusive home life, are they eligible for any additional aid for living expenses? They are full-time student, working part-time. Thanks!
