I just got accepted to a graduate program (tuition remission). I did my FAFSA and I put down I made 12,084 in 2009. How much financial aid would I receive during my first year? By the way, I get tuition remission and teacher assistantship.

I have no idea what I’m doing, I’m trying to get into a university. I recently withdrew from a local technical program due to the lack of competence of one of the instructors. When I first started at the Technical School I had little knowledge about financial aid and student loans, this time I want to be fully prepared. Can someone explain to me how financial aid and student loans work? I have filled out a fafsa, and have to change my school code for the new school I’ll be attending. Also, what else should I be doing to get more money for my education?

I recently got accepted into graduate school, which is in another state. I filled out the FAFSA, but it seems to take quite a while to lean what award I got. I’ve been using scholarship data bases and books about scholarships to try to find some to apply for but I’m having a real hard time. It seems there aren’t that many for graduate students and usually when I find some, they don’t apply for me. I’m going into Education/Teaching and was wondering if anyone knows any good resources on this?

Im starting city college in the fall and I don’t need student financial aid until I transfer to a four year school (two years after I start city college).
Is is okay to file a FAFSA the year I need it, or do I have to file it when I start city college (even though I don’t need it for CC)??
Thanks, sorry if that was confusing.

Currently I live at home and am only taking 8 units. Next semester I will be enrolled full time and living on my own (off campus). What financial aid options do I have to help pay for things. I work…just not enough, I haven’t been able to find a job. I make about 6,500 per year. I’m in the process of submitting my fafsa. Where can I find helpful info on grants and aid. The Gov’t website doesn’t really seem to apply to individuals.
