So when I filed my FAFSA my EFC was 0. My mother makes 25,000-30,000 a year and I qualified for the full Pell Grant and the full supplemental grant. I start college at my local community in the fall. I start working in a week at Mcdonalds. Will my federal aid go down? What can I do to avoid that? Any other information you can give me?
I know my efc and want to know how much financial aid I will receive so I can figure out how much I will have to kick in. School is starting soon and my school is taking too long to tell me. I need to figure out where I’m going to get the money from.

We searched and applied last year (son’s freshman year) and didn’t really come up with anything more than he was given by his high school when he graduated and some from the actual college, due to financial need. The issue I fear this year is that our EFC from the FAFSA is a little higher and there of course would be no scholarship/s from graduating high school.
In October of 2008 I will lose my job. If this form is filled out before then, my income goes on it right? Is there somewhere to make a change later, when I lose my job so that her EFC will be smaller?
Hypothetically, if someone’s EFC is 0 and they only need about ,000 a year to go to college and they get the full pell grant that is somewhere around ,500, what happens to the extra money? Do you still get it?
I noticed that I am eligible to receive the Xavier grant from Xavier University, but I never received one. I submitted by FAFSA online by the university’s priority deadline of February 15 and I have an EFC of 0. I plan on making an appeal to receive this grant and want to know which rank is the highest in its financial aid office; so I know whom is best to contact. The positions in this school are financial aid specialist, director, assistant director, and senior associate director.
I am at a loss for words. I really need some financial aid for college and I do not qualify for the FAFSA because I live in a house that has a high EFC. What should I do in this situation because I am going to college next year in the fall. Should I take out loans?? HELP!!!
When I filed the FAFSA, my EFC was about ,500. Do you think I will receive anything for financial aid?
The school I want to go to costs about ,500 annually.

I am so angry by this situation but there was nothing that I could do about it! All of my friends are now running circles around me and I am so sad.
