My EFC is 0. I was wondering if it means that I qualify to get grants and financial aid, does this mean it’s free money for school or is it more like loans where I have to pay back after graduating?
On my student financial aid portal for my school is says my EFC is 0.00 and my student need is ,263. What does the student need part mean? How much money I will get?

I have filled out my FAFSA, got my SAR and my EFC is {content}. How do I go about claiming any Pell Grant money? My school’s FA office tells me that I’m eligible for the max of 50, but when I ask her how to claim it, she might as well be speaking Greek for all I understand her. Thank you to anyone who can help!

I just turned in my documents that I needed to turn in today. Proof of my citizenship into my financial aid office. My EFC is 0. My aid is for this summer. I’m just starting college this summer and want to know how soon will I receive my aid after everything is turned in ???
My tuition and books total is about 6.00 for this summer. Do you think I’ll get a refund on my financial aid if my EFO is 0 ??

I had a efc of zero going under my mom’s income so i don’t have anything to pay for college this semester… I also have tuition reimbursement.. The thing is Can i still submit my grades and cost of classes and get the money back or will the college let my employer know financial aid covered it?

My EFC is 8580 which means that my parents to pay 8,580 of my finances and my university won’t give me any financial aid. Is there any kind of outside scholarships grants or loans outside of the college that that I can take out to pay for it all because if I can’t my parents are going to be broke or i’ll just go to community college.

My son and I are to start college in August. If my son decides not to go will my Pell Grant Award be changed. We both had an EFC of zero and were awarded over 00 per semester. But if he doesn’t go will that change my Pell Grant?

The financial aid rewards letter sent from a college stated that if I have siblings entering/leaving college my financial aid awards will change. I almost have tuition covered (about 5k) and my EFC is 0 so even if my sister enters college next year will I really get to pay less?

Im starting college in the fall, and i have a efc of 0 which from what i hear is good. And i want to take out one student loan to pay off some personal bills and get a computer for college and my financial aid advisior said if will effect my efc score… i dont understand why it would effect the efc, and im only taking out a small loan. Im worried because if i get a loan, i figure it will terminate my financial aid… is this true?

I recently applied for financial aid for school. I received an email back with a EFC = expected family contribution and it said 00.00 . As far as I understand that means that I will not have to contribute anything for school..correct? My only question is where do I go from here? Do you receive something in the mail confirming this, how do you get the money? Is anyone familiar with this process? Thank you –
