I’m an NYC High School student starting my Junior Year and I want to start looking into colleges, scholarships, grants, loans, and financial aid. If anybody knows any websites or other ways I could start looking I would really appreciate it.

Thank You

ok,so i did the FAFSA report, and sent it in about a month ago to the college i’m looking at attending(university of washington). do you know usually how long it takes for them to send back a letter saying how much financial aid they will give you? also, do colleges usually give you as much as you need?

I went to go check my application status online and I haven’t recieved a letter just yet from the school, but it says Financial aid in progress. Doesn’t this mean I got accepted because colleges won’t go through a students financial aid unless they’re accepted? Correct? Please help!

Well I live in Alabama but I have a lot of family in Northern California so I am going to college there. I don’t want to and will not stay in Alabama. THe application process is so much ahrder than I expected though, I have a 4.33 weighted GPA 3.83 unweighted a 26 on the ACT and am in many leadership positions at my school and have a lot of service hours. I just can’t think of anything to write college essays on and it really discouraging. Also, It’s really depressing that when I get accepted I wil have to go throught so much stuff for financial aid. the colleges I’m looking at are like ,000 a year and I have to get a lot of aid to get that down to a reasonable cost for my family…. somewhere around ,000. It’s really stresing me out does anyone have any suggestions?

I’m about to be 17 and have found a number of colleges who accept 17 year olds. But I need to apply for a FAFSA. Will they accept applications for people under 18? I tried e-mailing them but nobody ever answered. Thank you

The financial aid advisors of universities/colleges, do they have the right to change your information from your FAFSA application?
If not, what can I do?

I am looking into getting my Comptia A+ certification, and seeing as no colleges in my area offer the class, I was looking to fly out to Fremont, California to attend a 5 day boot camp. I was wondering if there are any scholarships or grants that would cover any of the cost. I am an 18 year old high school senior and want to do this over the summer.
Thanks!

I am a young married mother of three and would love to go back to school. I can not afford most colleges, though. My family is very hard-working yet still on a very tight budget. I was hoping that someone could help me with the different types of financial aid offers. I live a little over an hour away from the nearest college and with gas prices I was hoping there was a way to get help with that and child care. I know if I was a single mom I could get a lot more help. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Helpful teachers, friendly down to earth students, solid financial aid, and a great education in a suburban city in the mid-west/east coast…hopefully a small/medium sized school. what colleges have all this?

Thanks
No religious preference and preferably no schools under 1,000-1,500 students.
Only problem with liberal arts schools is they seem to be, oftentimes, in the middle of nowhere.
Thanks for the suggestions.
