My counselor said to email a college admissions rep and to "make a bridge" to the school I wanted to go to.
I don’t know what this means ! I only just graduated highschool and I didn’t even do well at that.
I’m taking the classes I need to take to transfer and I want to be a Dermatologist which means I’m trying to get into Pre-Med.
Any ideas ? Has anyone ever emailed a rep before ?? HELP !!
I might be forced to relocate to a college in a different state, long story. Are college admissions easier on transfer students? Can you transfer any time? It might be during the mid-beginning of my freshman year. I know money will be an issue but first I need to know on admissions in case this does happen.
I’m looking for a most selective college. I know that community service plays a big part in college admissions. I was wondering how much of that I should have in order to have colleges think highly of me. Right now, I don’t really have time for community services because of a lot of challenging classes and some extra curiculars. But I’m thinking about getting a summer job or something and donate blood at the blood drive when I get the chance.
I’ve always wondered whether college admissions actually look at what caliber high school someone is applying from? Because, not all public high schools are the same, and some are way harder to do well in than others, and I was just wondering if colleges actually take that into account when people apply.
All people there are stuck on is my GPA (3.2) and they keep saying I have no shot what so ever at a tier 1 school.
I am starting to find the site discouraging but is it really reliable, as in do those people really know something about college admissions?
On my SAT I got 770 on reading and only 690 on math. On my ACT I got 34 on math and only 32 on reading.
What does that say to college admissions people?
I’m looking at being a college admissions councelor. What major do I need?
what is #1 thing that college admissions advisors look for in a college application that can get me in guaranteed?!
A would like to do a college admissions resume, but I just don’t know what to put on it. I look around and all I find is resumes templates for jobs and Graduate school. Can someone show me an example of a college admissions resume for a student in high school?
Do you think that students from disadvantaged households have a tough time with the college admissions process? It seems like all of the elite schools only take well-to-do students.
But those schools SUCK. I came from a disadvantaged family and I ended up in a terrible penn state branch campus.
