How much will my FAFSA Pell Grant decrease would you think if I drop from 12 credit hours to 9?
I have a full Pell grant now, the maximum given amount. I will need to take one less class, going to part-time student status. I know it may be different case to case, but what do you think on average it would go down by?

If you are getting full Pell now ($2155.00), then it would go down to $1616.50 for 9 hours.
Actually, if you drop to 9 semester hours, that is considered 3/4 time & you are elligible for approximately 3/4 of the full-time amount that you normally receive.
As you already guessed, there are several variables…but in general, you would be considered a 3/4 student…so your Pell award would be around 3/4 of the full amount.
