I was thinking about starting my own small business in Massachusetts.
I was wondering if there was any federal/state funding/grants available for something like this?
It would be a do it yourself dog wash. There are few outside of Boston but none in the city.
Please let me know and provide links/information if you can! Thanks!
Also, my husband lost his work after many, many years and is now retraining for a new profession. How do we look for funds during this terrible transition. Our savings is completely depleted and our credit scores are low (600+). We still have children at home.
I am looking to start my own real estate company and don’t want to get swindled on bs "the funds are out there" and "it’s a secret that millions of americans don’t know about" gimmicks. If anyone has any knowledge or advice on reputable sources, please let me know.
Thanks!
I have been going to a Community College for the past semester and have registered there for this coming fall semester as well. However, once the Fall 2010 Semester is completed, I plan to transfer to a University, that will cost more money than what I have been given for the Community College. Will FAFSA increase the amount given to me in the form of a Pell Grant to accommodate this increase in tuition?
I would like to use Rosetta Stone to learn Russian but I can’t afford it and I definitely can’t afford to take classes. But I remember hearing that the government has grants available for people to learn different languages. Unfortunately I can’t remember where and I haven’t been able to find any information about it on the net. I would appreciate it if anyone could help me in this endeavour.
We are first time homebuyers in California (east bay area) and we just had our offer accepted on a "light fixer"…I am wondering if there are programs that offer financial assistance (grants or otherwise) to help with rehabbing a property.
JUST FOR CLARIFICATION! The question is regarding loans or grants to fix up a property that is damaged…NOT "First time home buyers programs". Also, my intention is not to "flip it" for a profit…just to make it liveable. Thanks!
i filled out my FASFA back in april but i received a letter in the mail which required me to sign something. i did not realize that i needed to sign and send it back until a couple weeks ago. i sent in this paper a couple weeks ago and it said my FASFA was complete. i also just this evening signed my master promissory note online. Am i to late to receive Pell grant money?
I’m currently a nursing major, and considering changing my major to anything NOT in the health field…I discovered I hate biology. I don’t think I have this grant, but what is the name of the grant(s) that has the restriction if you do not pursue a career in that field then you have to pay the money back?
Also, I know there’s someone at school I can ask, and I will, but can’t until Monday, and I’m kind of anxious to find out. Any help would be appreciated.
I am a stay at home mother of two and disabled. I am in the process of finishing my degree in Elementary education. I receive the pell grant but it will not be enough to cover my cost. I am currently working with the vocational rehab in our area also. Is there anything else out there available?
I am going to create my own job since there aren’t any good jobs out there. Could anyone provide any tips or websites as to how to apply for government grant money to start my own business? I’ve been looking on the internet but every single site wants money, and I’ve been told by the unemployment office to avoid the sites that ask for money for grant information because they are rip-offs. I would be sincerely grateful for any assistance.
