Yes, you have to earn 25k or less to get Financial Aid from FAFSA.ed.gov . They give the Pell grant.
Ask your financial aid advisers. They should be able to answer all your questions

Are you single? Are you an independent or a dependent student? Do you have any dependents? Obviously, as you can tell, financial aid is determined based on a lot more information then just your salary. You will definitely qualify for financial aid in the form of federal student loans, and you should qualify for some grant money at $15,000/year; however, if you are a single, independent student with no children to support – it will be very little grant money.
