I was wondering if anyone can help me by telling me how financial aid and grants are rewarded.

I have no money for college this term, and I am having work to save up. But I also need to find some grants and scholarships to apply for to help pay for College!! I know of one… www.ed.gov/edTV. But does anyone know of any other sites or places I could check out to apply for such money? Your advice would be much appreciated! THANX!

The Federal government does not give grants to individual citizens. The companies claiming they do and charging money to give you the info are thieves and should not be allowed to advertise on Yahoo!

I really want to go to England and Scotland, but my parents and I can’t afford it. It’s really expensive. I was nominated by several people, and I want to go, is there financial assistance? And how much would they take off the price?

I’m starting college in january, and have received enough financial aid to cover my tuition, but the tuition payment date is december 1st, and my aid won’t be available until january 8th. Am I going to have to pay this out of my own pocket? I have tried to search the school website, but I can’t find any information about this.

I am looking for scholarships or grants given out by local companies. I have already applied to the Big Y and Price Chopper Supermarkets. Do you know of any other places near here, not national, that give out money for college?

I have a good amount of money saved up in the bank, and soon I will be applying to colleges and all that jazz. I’ve been told that it’s best to take your savings OUT of the bank to receive better financial aid, but this doesn’t seem right to me.
